Save money all over the place
Maybe this isn't very environmentally friendly, but we can all save  little extra money sometimes

1. lower your cable or satellite plan. Most of the channels I watch are on the broadcast networks or the smallest cable packages.

2. Shop around for Internet providers. Even transferring gets you introductory prices which will help you save money that can go to your bills and help you get on your feet.

3. Use coupons and buy on sale. There is a reason why stores can afford to charge so little for things.

4. Negotiate. Chances are that a business like a cell phone provider or a phone company will waive the set up charges if you make it clear in a very nice way that you can go to another company.

5. Lower or tailor your cell phone plan to fit your needs. If you don't use the text messages anymore then you should remove it from your plan etc.

6. Look at your families credit cards or bills that you are paying. For example when I checked out my husbands bank statements I found out he was cheating on me in a very expensive way. Of course you probably won't learn that but you can guilt your spouse out of buying those coffees every morning or buying a round for the guys at work etc.

7. Cancel memberships to things you aren't using right now until you get back on your feet. For example, download sites, gym memberships (try very hard and ask your doctor for a note), credit monitoring agencies, websites, mail clubs, DVD/ C.D. club memberships, meat of the month club etc. Any place that charges your credit card automatically each month (because it is always the worst time).
